Hi! My name is Alara, and I'm 25.
I grew up in a family that has done screen-printing and embroidery for over 35 years. I have always loved all things sparkly, and have wanted to prove that women can be just as strong as men since I was a kid.
Sparkling Slapshot was created out of a love for the game, and as a love letter to all women who watch and play the game, who don’t want to have to sacrifice their femininity to enjoy a sport as brutal as hockey. There aren’t as many merch options for women who want to be fashionable and feminine while supporting their favorite teams, and while we are primarily focused on growing the inclusivity of women in the sports world, we welcome any and all people who want to sparkle their support. Individual orders are handmade with love (don't worry, larger orders are made with love too!), and guaranteed to never be exactly the same as someone else’s. Every stone placed is intentional to ensure individuality and maximum sparkle.

Director of Social Media and Marketing
Holly Arend is the Sports Marketing Director for Hazze Sports, where she manages social campaigns and conducts athlete interviews to humanize the game. She began her career as a social media intern at Barstool Sports and has since worked on innovative influencer projects. Holly holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Maine and an MS in Communications and Public Relations from Syracuse University. She is passionate about blending strategy and creativity to drive meaningful engagement and is eager to collaborate on projects that challenge the norm.
